Inside Scoop: Loris Health Fair
Jan 20, 2007MERCY Hospice & Palliative Care brought a whole new meaning to the phrase community outreach at the Loris 2007 Health Fair, held at the Colonial Mall in Briarcliffe, on January 20th.
Over 200 people, hailing from ten states and Canada, stretched out their arms at MERCY’s booth to receive free blood pressure checkups and information on maintaining good cardiovascular health. The general public also got the chance to learn of the vast array of services that MERCY provides in multiple settings—from end-of-life care through hospice, to free bereavement services delivered throughout the year to children, adults and families.
