Press Release: Cards From Local Youth Artist
Jul 06, 2009Cards From Local Youth Artists on Sale Now
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – A beautiful American flag, blowing in the wind, with the words “I love you,” written across it, was created by a 5-year-old girl, and is just one of the more than 1,500 entries that Mercy Hospice received for its first Creative Cards Contest.
Mercy Hospice and Palliative Care, the area’s oldest, non-profit hospice held a creative contest for school children in Horry and Georgetown counties. The artwork is amazing, inspiring and sometimes innocently humorous, but so evidently created with love and thoughtfulness. Mercy is pleased to unveil its first five collections of greeting and note cards to the community.
Each card collection, containing 12 colorful and uplifting greeting cards, was created by students from Daisy Elementary, Green Sea Floyds Elementary, Lakewood Elementary, Loris Middle School, Myrtle Beach Intermediate, Myrtle Beach Primary, North Myrtle Beach Elementary, Ocean Bay Elementary, Pee Dee Elementary, St. Andrew Catholic School and St. James Middle and are currently on sale for $15.00.
