At this time of giving and thanksgiving, we at Mercy Care – the oldest, nonprofit hospice residing in Horry County – salute the extraordinary generosity of the people of the Grand Strand. Despite a punishing recession, your wonderful donations have enabled us to grow and expand to meet the needs of the community. Here is just a sample of what you have made possible:

Because of you, we’ve been able to provide the finest end-of-life care to more than 350 new patients, including more than $50,000 in free services to those without means to pay. Because of you, we’ve been able to counsel over 150 grieving children and brought comfort to more than 100 at our biannual bereavement camp, Camp Happy Hearts . . .
