Camp Happy Hearts Fall 2008

Even the rainy weather could not dampen the spirits of the children who attended Mercy’s Fall Camp Happy Hearts on October 18, 2008. Children enjoyed the magic of Slightly the Clown, horse rides, creating memory boxes, participating in “Bubbles to Heaven”, as well as a candlelight memorial service to remember their loved ones in a very special way.

Camp Happy Hearts is a bi-annual camp that seeks to encourage each child to move forward while dealing with the present loss. The camp provides a safe, listening environment and helps create clear memories through hands-on activities and discussion.

Mercy Hospice, a non-profit organization, depends upon fundraisers and the kindness of our supporters to bring these and other programs to the children and teens in our community.
